Oran Mor
Our wedding reception is at Oran Mor, which means 'The Great Melody of Life' in Gaelic, and is situated in the West End of Glasgow opposite the Botanical Gardens.
Oran Mor is a converted church which has placed itself right at the heart of Glasgow's cultural life. It is home to the famous 'Play, Pie & a Pint' and 'Concert, Cocktail & Canapè' series as well as hosting numerous live music events and serving excellent food and an enviable selection of fine malt whiskies.
Our reception will be held in 'The Auditorium' which has a fabulous ceiling mural painted by the writer and artist Alasdair Gray and is one of Scotland's largest pieces of public art. The auditorium has its own entrance via the Bell Tower on Great Western Road.
Pollokshields United Reformed Church
Our wedding ceremony is taking place at Pollokshields United Reformed Church on the Southside of Glasgow.
The church transforms itself during the week into The Fotheringay Centre which is home to the music department of Hutchesons' Grammar School where Lisa teaches some of the pupils.
